prior to the season starting, he REALLY blew up after a tremendous state championship performance, helping the Cavaliers clinch the title. Overall, Quin had a great season in which he tallied 101 tackles, two interceptions, a blocked kick, 24 receptions, 302 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns, and two punt return touchdowns. Watching Quin’s tape, I was very impressed with his versatility and athleticism on defense, showing he can fit the mold of the modern-day defender. He is very rangy with great coverage instincts that allow him to pick up on offensive concepts quickly, giving him high upside at safety. Schutt also showed that he is more than willing to be a run defender, moving up into the box to provide extra body in run support. Schutt makes sure to get all of his licks when he gets to the ball carrier, providing some highlight hits while still using good form to secure the stop. He has a frame that should hold up well at 6’1″ and 190 pounds with solid length. Quin is listed as a tight end, so it was interesting to see him make plays not just as a pass catcher, but showing he can bring the juice as a blocker as well.
