Payton Schaffner Payton Schaffner 6'2" | 195 lbs | DB Trinity | 2025 PA is a good player for Trinity, and he is used as a defensive match-up piece, you can move around. He played both as an outside linebacker and as a safety last year. As an outside linebacker, he does a nice job setting the edge and making tackles in the run game. He does a nice job of being patient and keeping contain on the edge. As a safety, he does a good job in coverage. He gets his hands on the wide receivers and maintains the deep zone coverage. He also shows good tackler in the open field. Schaffner is a good defender who be counted on for a big year this season for Trinity.
