Fresh off a state title, Paxton Thompson Paxton Thompson 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Jackson Prep | 2023 State MS was one of the most impressive quarterbacks in the MAIS this season. Throwing for over 2,636 yards and 32 touchdowns, Thompson had one of the biggest years of his young career. At 6’0″ 185, Thompson isn’t the biggest prospect, but has plenty of size to be a threat at the next level. He also has the ability to continue adding weight to his frame. As a passer, the senior has a quick release with little hitch or wasted movement to it. Thompson was responsible for a lot at Jackson Prep and showed the ability to read a defense and navigate through progressions. An accurate thrower, Thompson has great ball placement and can really thread the needle in some tougher spots. While he doesn’t have any offers yet, expect his recruitment to heat up prior to the next signing period.
