Mount Miguel receiver Parris Vernon Parris Vernon 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Mount Miguel | 2026 State CA announced his commitment to San Jose State on Thursday.
Vernon had 523 receiving yards with two touchdowns last season in eight games.
He chose San Jose State over 15 other schools including Northern Arizona, Arkansas, Cal and Arizona State among others. Vernon is the second player in San Jose State’s 2026 recruiting class.

Vernon’s been one of San Diego’s most popular prospects this offseason, adding six D-I offers from Cal, Washington, Central Michigan, Hawaii, Arizona St., and Washington St. since January. He’s an explosive natural athlete with major upside in his speed, agility, and body control on both sides of the ball. He’s elusive with the ball in his hands and shows promising WR skills out of the slot. The sophomore WR/DB totaled over 1,200 all-purpose yards and 18 TDs for Mount Miguel last season. Vernon should continue to ascend CA’s 2026 rankings as one of the most talented playmakers in San Diego.
