Neff is a true plug in the middle of the CDL defense, and is coming off a big time Junior season for one of the top programs in the state. He is a downhill banger that is a physical tackler inside the box it is not afraid to take on guards coming to the second level and running through hat. He plays with good leverage in a strong shock while able to quickly get off blocks and flow to the ball. He is a very good athlete and has a frame to be able to pack on more weight throughout his college career. Look for Neff to have another good season for the Vikings, and be a definite candidate to enter into our linebacker rankings.

Neff is a very athletic second level defender that is another kid that has had a very productive career for one of the top programs in the state of Idaho. He is a smooth athlete in space, a natural peddler and can quickly trigger and redirect to track down ball carriers in the open field while showing he can apply pressure from off the edge with bend and hand usage. In coverage, he can cover tight ends and slot receivers while showing quick COD abilities and is a sure tackler in the open field. Look for Neff to be atop the tackle leaders within the region in 2024 and look to build upon his impressive ’22 and ’23 campaign.

Neff is a bright spot returning for the Vikings with his ability to create sacks from his ability to time up blitzes. He is an off the ball linebacker who is able to really use a variety of moves and timing to get to the quarterback. He is going to be a monster next season for the Vikings as they are graduating a big senior class. They are going to need his pass rush ability next season and after posting 4.5 sacks, Neff is going to be one of our top returning juniors next season.
