Murray is a very active corner with a high IQ in zone coverage and can come up and assist in the run game on the outside and set the edge/take on lead blockers and bigger ball carriers. He shows he is physical near the LOS in press coverage, has quick hips in transition and recovery speed if beat over the top to make plays on the ball with plus ball skills and some return abilities as well. He checks into our rankings update as a top 5 player at the position and just inside the top 35 overall after a stellar Junior season campaign for the Vikings. As he moves through his senior year, he should have plenty of D3+ schools on his radar and is going to be a nice steal for a college team.
Murray is another one of the better defensive back prospects in the class across Idaho and should gather D3 interest/offers through his final prep season for the Vikings. He excels in run support, breaks quickly on the ball and can turn in transition while showing some recovery speed if beat over the top. He is physical near the LOS with his hands and can make plays on the ball while not afraid to come up and drop down into the box on the perimeter in run support if need be. Having plenty of varsity playing experience heading into his final prep season, he should have a breakout Senior year and is a key name to note across the region as the 2026 off-season kicks off.
Murray is one of the top defenders across Idaho and checks into our rankings just inside the top 10 overall. He is a tremendous open field tackler that triggers quickly on the edge and takes good angles to ball carriers in space. Murray flashes quick play recognition and is able to knife into the backfield from the third level and is seemingly always around the ball with a high motor. In coverage he has fluid hips in transition and natural ball skills with recovery speed if beat downfield. He is another very complete safety prospect should find his home there are in college and is in-line for a truly breakout Junior season.
