The DCG Mustangs may not have had the season they hoped for, but there is a ton to look forward to with a talented young core of players. One player who stood out early was junior RB/ATH Ozzie GrimmOzzieGrimm

. Ozzie led the Mustangs’ rushing offense with 79 carries, 226 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns. Ozzie is an RB who is effective running the ball downhill but is also a threat to bounce runs to the outside, where he can turn on the gas and break free for big chunk yardage. Ozzie is a decisive runner who is quick to scan the field, and if he sees a lane or angle, he’s taking it. Consistent pad level makes it difficult for defenders to get under when trying to tackle. Grimm is also a solid receiving back who hauled in 12 catches for 171 yards and a touchdown. Strong showing as a sophomore, breakout season coming in year 3!
Grimm is a strong candidate for our year-end all-name team. He’s much more than that, however. Grimm is one of those guys you get the ball to in space and let him eat. Handoffs, swing passes, whatever it takes. Grimm illustrates during his sophomore highlight video that he can make people miss and take it the distance. He scored via run, reception and kick return as a 10th-grader.
