I also came away from this game very impressed with the young man under center for Kirkwood, Omar Hopkins Omar Hopkins 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Kirkwood | 2023 State MO . Omar finished the game completing 18/27 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns. He showed impressive zip and accuracy in the short and intermediate passing game while also showing off a strong arm with a solid amount of touch in the deep game. Hopkins also showed the ability to escape pressure and make throws on the run. While he impressed as a passer, he also showed very impressive dual threat ability, rushing for 59 yards and a touchdown. When he chose to tuck the ball and run, he showed the speed to run away from a defense and elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Omar doesn’t currently hold any official offers but he should have some come soon as he has been receiving college interest and has the skill set to play at the next level.
