Expert Analysis

Ikotun’s playing strength, finishing ability, and pass protection stand out on his film. On multiple reps, he showsthat he can overpower defenders at the point of attack. There’s one play where he immediately pancakes an edge defender lined head-up over him. Ikotun’s film also shows that he consistently has a strong initial punch and extention that allows him to control defenders.
In pass protection, I like his mirror ability and hand placement. ON several pass reps, he mirrors outside rushers effectively and maintains leverage. One rep shows Ikotun standing up a defensive lineman for four to five seconds, controlling the rep before finishing with a pancake.
Ikuotun’s run bloacking power stand out on film as well. Whether its chip blocking, climbing to the second level, or helping with a double-team block, he’s a sure bet to sustain his blocks and finish through contact.
I’d like to see him cotinue to add mass and lower-body strength and continue to work on his pass protection technique. Ikotun is a physical tackle who competes to the whistle and should get the attention of scouts this offseason.
