A hard-nosed, hard-working linebacker. I’ve been impressed with Nathan every single time I’ve watched him in person. He’s always one of the most competitive and hard-working players on the field. Nathan is not the best athlete, but he has that focus and edge you want from a linebacker.
Where Nathan could provide a ton of value is leadership. He’s a starting Senior linebacker on a team that’s trying hard to rebuild. Whether Nathan solidifies himself as a vocal leader or just leads by example, I’m confident that the underclassmen of Okemos will be looking up to Nathan.

I have heard from a couple coaches that have played against Okemos that Nathan is a tough guy to play against. He is still obviously very raw, but he has the size, speed and effort to be molded into a really good athlete for the next level. He’s quick, and can fire off the edge and get into the backfield, or he can come up and fill gaps in the run game. I think he has some things to be coached up on, but I really think if a team took a flyer on him and got him into a college weight room and coached him up some more, this could be a diamond in the rough for them. Look for him to have some big numbers this fall and draw some attention to himself.

Nathan is a big wildcard in this class. Last season, he was a bright spot on an Okemos team that went 0-9 last season. Pound for pound he was an above-average linebacker who gave full effort on every down. Moving forward, Nathan will be a big part of Okemos football for the next two seasons. His off-season work ethic and potential leadership will go a long way in helping this team emerge to notoriety.
