I have talked about JaShon a few times this offseason, and he continues to be one of the highest ceiling defensive linemen I have seen throughout the spring. While his film is somewhat limited, the size, frame and flashes are more than enough to believe he will be a star for Okemos this fall. He possesses tremendous strength, allowing him to plug the middle and anchor at the point of attack, shutting down the middle. He comes off the ball with an explosive first step, firing with a low pad level and uses his power to knock offensive linemen off balance immediately. This run stopper will absolutely plug the middle this fall and be one of the most physically imposing defensive linemen in the state.

The Okemos 2028 came out and worked hard. This was my first time seeing him in person, and the physical traits made me very interested in what he could develop into.
-Twitchy on takeoff, fires off hard and low and staying balanced
-Very strong, gets offensive linemen on their heels from the snap

Another guy with limited film, but the size profile is enough to say the ceiling could be really high. Coming from a program that is clawing its way back from some really tough times, a guy like Starks is a massive piece for his team. He has a good build, able to anchor down and control inside gaps. I love his potential as a run stopping nose guard/defensive tackle this season.
