One of several prospects from East Orange that I liked from the class of 2026 was defensive back Naseer John Naseer John 5'11" | 145 lbs | DB East Orange | 2026 State NJ . John is a corner who likes to play press and, seemingly, likes the challenge of it. When he does play off, however, he takes very good angles to keep his force responsibility in his run fit. A very physical tackler for a corner, John wants to absolutely smack someone whenever possible. In situations where he cannot, gator roll tackling technique is applied flawlessly. A gunner on punt, John is athletic enough to threaten with an inside release and redirect to take an outside path and win. Although it appears that the Jaguars played a lot of cover 3 skate with a cushion, John closes space extremely well.
