About Mitch

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Strong and physical would describe my playing style.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I enjoy competition and rising to a challenge. You will always find me prepared. Whether it be taking honors classes, working out in the weight room, watching game film, playing on the field or competing on a wrestling mat, I will try to prepare myself and those around me to compete at the highest level.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently a member of the ABC (Advice Beyond the Classroom) club, where we learn the importance of interpersonal skills and public speaking.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a Freshman I was voted to be a team captain by my teammates. I took the honor seriously and practiced/played to the best of my ability. I am also a shadow volunteer, where I help prospective students learn about St. Rita and all it has offer.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Last year as a freshman I played the Varsity level at all three sports I participated in. This year as a sophomore I earned the starting left tackle position on varsity and have started to take reps as a defensive end. Each time I was asked to do something out of my comfort zone and I took the challenge head on competing against players with more experience.

What type of college are you looking for?

I have an interest in math, engineering and construction.
