Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the state’s most productive linebackers in the 2028 class from last season, Mapp Jr. is a tackling maching who plays with violence and aggression at 5-foot-11 185-pounds. He consistent found his way to the ball-carrier last year and played more elite a seasoned veteran than a second year sophomore. The Atlanta-area defender made an impressive 125 tackles with 11 TFLs, one sack, five QB pressures, and two fumble recoveries. As good as he was last season, look for the Stockbridge linebacker to be even better as a junior in 2026.

A tough, quick-reacting linebacker who certainly didn’t play like a freshman last season, this Stockbridge native looked like a seasoned veteran the way he attacked and tackled the ball-carrier last season. He showed strong instincts, made plays in coverage, and was extremely productive, making 71 total tackles, 9 TFLs and three forced fumbles. He showed easy Power Four potential and could see his recruitment pick up down the road.

Stout LB prospect who gained plenty of valuable varsity experience as a freshman. Rallies very hard to the football. Scraps hard against blockers and generates some pop when he connects with ball carriers. Does a good, yet subtle job of getting skinny and shoulders his shoulders to keep his chest clean and slip into the backfield. Mapp plays hard and fast, which will benefit his development as he bulks up and grows naturally.
