The go-to running back for the Go-Hawk offense, Mekyver Hagarty Mekyver Hagarty 6'0" | 190 lbs | RB/LB Waverly-Shell Rock | 2026 IA took a bit of a beating on Friday, but kept taking the rock and kept plugging away for WSR. Along with Schipper being under duress for a good chunk of the game, WSR struggled to get the ground game going, as Xavier’s defensive line consistently found its way into the backfield.

On 17 carries for 61 yards, Hagarty kept taking the rock and doing what he could, eventually rewarded with a touchdown in the second half. So far this season, Hagarty has been responsible for a large portion of WSR’s offensive success, scoring five times on the ground.
