With several players around him heading to the next level, McCorter has the opportunity to be a focal point of the Storm defense. Goeser had an outstanding junior year in which he racked up 96 tackles, 13 TFLs, 2 sacks, and an interception. When watching McCorter’s tape, the first thing to pop out at me was the intensity and physicality he plays with— non-stop from snap to whistle. He can fire out of his stance to shoot his gap and get to the ball carrier quickly, explaining his penchant for making plays at or behind the line of scrimmage. McCorter is very balanced as a run defender and in pass coverage. He sniffs out run plays immediately and has the downhill speed to reach his spot quickly. Goeser also showed that he can use his hands and twitch to disengage from blocks at the line of scrimmage. McCorter plays smart in pass coverage, never seems out of position, and always makes any reception near him a hard-earned one with his physicality. Great blocker on offense as well. Start dropping those offers ASAP!
