Luke Carver Luke Carver 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Elkhorn South | 2027 State NE really caught my eye on both sides of the ball in his film. First at OT, Carver has great size, length, a stout lower half to handle the strength and length of DEs at the next level. In his stance he shows good bend and while the Storm loved to run the ball last year, he projected to have the mobility to pass set against wide (and tight) defenders. His mobility also shows up in space when pulling and climbing to defenders where is quick out of his stance and firmly grounds himself before contact generating force from the ground up. On the defensive side Carver is nearly immovable on DBL teams, and not someone you want blocked by one guy. His strength and low pad level help him hang in DBL teams and suffocate the pocket with his bull rush. With a PR of 52′ 4.5 on shot put and 159′ 1″ in the discus event, his strength is evident. I expect Carver to pick up offers this spring + summer camp series and could push for some FCS opportunities.
