Burns shows strong potential as an outside linebacker, particularly with his ability to plug running lanes and meet ball carriers right at the line of scrimmage. He plays with very physical, attacks downhill, and shows good instincts when reading inside run plays. Burns consistently positions himself well to disrupt plays early, making him a presence against the run. With continued development in maintaining outside leverage and preventing plays from bouncing to the perimeter, he can become a more complete defender. If he refines that aspect of his game, Burns has the tools and toughness to develop effectively at the next level.

To my knowledge, this my first time seeing Burns play in a live setting the KCD prospect did not disappoint. The fact that I initially thought he was lined up as an Edge rusher tells the story of his weekend. The Outside Linebacker played an attacking style of ‘Backer and crashed down hard to make a number of tackles near the line of scrimmage. He played with keen ability to keep outside leverage and made a number of boundary tackles.
