I was only able to see Maxwell Azzaline Maxwell Azzaline 6'4" | 225 lbs | OL Assumption | 2026 State IA involved in defensive line play, serving as the three-tech on Assumption’s DL. With the look of a defensive end up front, the three-tech spot makes the most sense for Azzaline, who is one of the bigger players on the Knights’ roster. A disruptor in the middle and a stout run defender, Azzaline uses his length as well as his brute strength to rip through opposing offensive lines and disengage would-be blockers. He was one of the primary reasons the Solon run game struggled to get going as much as the passing game.

Azzaline saw some reps on the defensive side last season, but his greatest impact was felt on the O-Line. The Knights racked up nearly 3,000 yards of offense with almost 2,000 coming on the ground. We can witness Azzaline’s role in the production when we pop on his junior highlight video. He is a physical dude who has a knack for putting opponents on their backsides. With a sound setup and active hands, Azzaline is proficient in pass-pro. He fires off of the snap and into the pads of the defender in the run game. Disengaging from Azzaline is a challenge. He’ll be a key to Assumption bouncing back from an uncharacteristic down year.
