Justin Barrett Justin Barrett 6'3" | 240 lbs | OL/DL Assumption | 2026 State IA is a bit undersized as a Right Tackle currently, but his sharp skillset and impressive prowess as a run blocker has certainly not been overlooked. Barrett does a great job shooting off the snap and hitting the defender upward, doing a great job at maintaining good pad level and constantly driving the defender backward. Barrett has great awareness in understanding what the defender is doing at the line and adjusting his hands to leverage where the defender attacks, staying one step ahead of the defender at all times. If Barrett can bulk up a bit this offseason, he should see his stock shoot up toward the top of the OL rankings in Iowa by the end of the year.

Barrett is a guy just scratching the surface of what he can become as a player. Lining up at right tackle as a junior, Barrett shows the potential to be a dominant force on the offensive front and certainly someone colleges can project as a future piece to their O-Line puzzle. We witness on his 11th-grade highlight video an advanced run-blocker. Barrett overwhelms opponents with his get-off and then finishes them off with power. He could improve his pad level as he stands too upright at times. Barrett’s agility helps him reach blocks in space, and he utilizes his hands well.
