Algona is a team with a solid senior class going into the 2025 season, including Max Nevitt Max Nevitt 6'0" | 285 lbs | OL Algona | 2026 State IA who will be leading the charge in the trenches. I can see Max receiving looks at either offensive guard or defensive lineman based on his junior tape. Offensively, Max plays with great instincts, keeping his head on a swivel, quickly identifying where pressure is coming from and adjusting. He packs a solid punch that can stun his opponents while still looking to finish the play. He uses his natural leverage to his advantage by maintaining good pad level and bend when battling with defenders. On defense, Max does a good job fitting the run and tracking the ball to slow down the opposing run game. Max recently received his first offer from Grand View which should give him solid recruiting momentum going into the season.

Max Nevitt Max Nevitt 6'0" | 285 lbs | OL Algona | 2026 State IA is a stout blocker who’s had a big role for Algona’s O-line, helping Algona finish as a top-5 scoring offense in Class 3A. Nevitt is used often as a pull blocker for the run game, showing a great level of aggression on the punch, and he’s able to just maul defenders with his drive and sheer power. Nevitt’s testing numbers are impressive posting a 355 lb bench, 505 lb squat, and 515 lb deadlift, and that strength is on clear display on the trenches. Nevitt will be remain an important piece of the puzzle for Algona’s offense as they transition in 2025 under a new QB.

A bully on the line, Nevis engages opponents quickly and with force, setting the tone in the trenches. He moves well for his size, running a 5.43 40-yard dash and an 8.3-second L Drill. He showed the ability to stay balanced and maintain leverage. His physicality and aggressive playstyle made him a standout, with the skills and a mean streak that will generate multiple offers.
