This past season, Matthew served as a solid JV quarterback with legitimate upside at the varsity level as soon as next season.

Matthew does have a bit to clean up regarding his passing fundamentals. Even though he’s underbaked in that category, he’s still able to deliver accurate balls 25+ yards downfield. Additionally, Matthew tends to see the field well when flushed outside of the pocket. He isn’t a run-first QB. Instead, Matthew does a nice job keeping his eyes downfield. When his number is called on a designed run, Matthew has the speed to earn explosive plays. Especially considering Matthew’s 6’2″ frame, he could be on track to earn college offers in the spring of 2027.
