About Matthew

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a dual threat quarterback that makes quick decisions on the field. I have good accuracy and get the ball out quickly. When the play breaks down I am smart with the ball. I can escape the pocket and make a play running or passing.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Whenever I step on the field I trust my teammates and believe that we are going to win. I feel confident in my preparation and know that I prepared to the best of my ability and am confident with every decision I make.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a captain of the football team I have developed lots of leadership skills. I am responsible for everyone's actions on the field and have to be the bigger person on and off the field. We win and lose as a team and much of the success and failure lays on me.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a strong academic college that is also competitive in football. I want to have a strong balance between sports and academics in college.

Northern Virginia is in my opinion loaded with at the quarterback position for the class of 2025 and Matthew Abramson Matthew Abramson Matthew Abramson 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Washington-Liberty | 2025 State VA had arguably the best season out of this entire group. With guys such as Isaiah French, Colton Kilmer Colton Kilmer Colton Kilmer 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Gainesville | 2025 State VA and Tyler Knutson Tyler Knutson Tyler Knutson 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Patriot | 2025 State VA in the area that really is saying something. Abramson has lead Washington-Liberty to a perfect regular season and the Generals are sure to be one of the favorites to bring home a state title. Throwing for 27 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions this dude has been on point all year. He deserves opportunities at the next level and I personally think many division 2 schools (paging the PSAC conference) should be all over him.

Abramson and the Washington-Liberty Generals have been putting on a show week in and week out. He had 5 touchdowns in their dominant win over McLean and has his school primed for a number 1 playoff seed. The architect of an offense that has been held to under 30 points just once so far this year, Abramson is accurate and electric.

Washington-Liberty took it too Yorktown yesterday with quarterback Matthew Abramson Matthew Abramson Matthew Abramson 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Washington-Liberty | 2025 State VA having himself a nice afternoon. Against a vaunted Patriots defense, Abramson was cool/calm and collective all Saturday while throwing for 236 yards. One of the more accurate passers in the state Abramson sees the field very well.
