Colton Kilmer Colton Kilmer 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Gainesville | 2025 State VA as you probably already know has been cruising this fall and his squad may be lining up for a deep playoff run. Injuries have hampered two of the top opponents in the Cedar Run district in Patriot and Battlefield, can Kilmer and company capitalize? They battled both squads in their regular season matchups and it is very hard to beat any team twice. This seems to be the prime moment that Gainesville can take the next step in their championship aspirations. Kilmer is an FCS level talent in my opinion and I believe can lead the Cardinals to glory.

We haven’t mentioned Kilmer here recently but his play hasn’t slipped one bit just check his tape. In Gainesville win over Osbourn he was lights outs completing 22 of 28 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Only two interceptions compared to 17 touchdowns the Cardinals are going to need all of his accuracy come playoff time. Taking two games on the chin from Patriot and Battlefield, Kilmer and company have not forgotten.

Kilmer has looked like an FCS level quarterback since mid last season and he continued his stellar play in Gainesville dominating win over Potomac. Gar-Field looks fearless and fast on defense this will be a true test for the senior quarterback.

He will be facing a secondary with division 1 corners and a defensive line with a good pass rush. While he has plenty of weapons at his disposal, should be fun to watch how he navigates the Red Wolves defense.

Going to be a fun one next week when Gainesville travels to Woodbridge to face Gar-field. Quarterback Colton Kilmer Colton Kilmer 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Gainesville | 2025 State VA was lights out in the Cardinals dominant win over Potomac. Playing only three quarters, Kilmer had four passing touchdowns and was nearly flawless going 12-16 in his passing attempts. Next week against a rejuvenated Red Wolves squad is going to fun to watch Kilmer and the Cardinals high powered offense.

With Smith getting hurt early last fall it was quarterback Colton Kilmer Colton Kilmer 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Gainesville | 2025 State VA time to shine and that he did on his way to earning a First Team All District selection. Kilmer in my opinion is an FCS or higher quarterback and has been making his way around many major summer camps.

The talent around Kilmer is top notch from his division 1 running back to his monster offensive line. He will have plenty to work with this season and is poised to lead the Cardinals on a deep playoff run.

2025 Gainesville (VA) quarterback Colton Kilmer is highly thought of by our Virginia site where he’s ranked as a Top 10 QB in the class and displayed his talents at the Wheeling U Skills Showcase. His measurements and testing numbers made a great first statement as he ran a 4.8 40, 4.4 pro shuttle, and a 3.5-yard broad jump at 6’3 212 pounds. Kilmer posted a tremendous junior season in VA passing for 2,500 yards and 28 touchdowns along with 700 rushing and five more scores earning First Team All-District. From watching his film and seeing him in person, the southpaw has a big arm that can put zip on his passes with velocity or take some speed off of them and lob it over defenders. Kilmer’s ball placement is impressive, especially on back shoulder throws and fitting the ball between and over defenders’ reach. He works the sidelines well on comeback and out routes and can also hit the defense over the top if they lose a step on his receivers.

Kilmer is a polished quarterback for his age with a high D2 floor and D1 potential given his versatility as a runner at the position too.

One of the best quarterbacks in the state continues to show why as he was slinging the ball with pinpoint accuracy all evening. What always stands out to me the most for quarterbacks in particular is that showcases you are not going to be throwing to the same targets you have been working out with all off-season, it is time to adapt. And adapt is what Gainesville’s Colton Kilmer Colton Kilmer 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Gainesville | 2025 State VA did as he was on point in the 1 on 1 drills with his throws. It is only matter of time before FCS schools start offering him, this past Wednesday was just another reason why.

Coming in as our 7th ranked quarterback in this class is impressive, but considering he just took over the starting role right before his junior year, shows you how talented he really is. Kilmer’s recruiting is gaining more life each week, with visits already at Richmond, Villanova and Monmouth, FCS schools should be sending offers soon.

Do not be surprised to see his name appear early on our leader board for the class of 2025, he really impressed a lot of people. Putting up very impressive numbers as a junior and his first year as the Cardinals starting qb certainly helped, but make no mistake Colton Kilmer Colton Kilmer 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Gainesville | 2025 State VA didn’t get to where he was by accident.

Gainesville should be one of the top teams in Prince William County as long that Colton Kilmer Colton Kilmer 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Gainesville | 2025 State VA continues on his upward trajectory, I believe they can get their. The Cardinals 2023 offensive player of the year is back for Coach Bruton and he is a good one. Selected 2nd team all district in his first year as a starting quarterback Kilmer accounted for 33 total touchdowns. He has quick feet and the southpaw can drop a deep ball on you even in double coverage. Thus far his recruiting has been somewhat slow, but he has caught the attention of many Patriot league schools, I think FCS football is in his near future.
