was an absolute stud as a senior for Barrington in 2023. He got it done on both sides of the ball as a big-time playmaker, helping lead the Broncos to a historic season. Marusich signed his letter of intent to play for Minnesota Duluth, slotted to play defensive back next year for the Bulldogs. Expect a lot of big plays out of Marusich, as he was able to rack up 4 interceptions on the defensive side of the ball last season. I don’t expect it will take him long to make a big impact in college next year.

Marusich is a senior two-way player who is putting together his best season yet. He is committed to University of Minnesota – Duluth and has excelled at both wide receiver and defensive back. The 6’2, 190 lbs athlete has been a matchup nightmare for opponents. He has tremendous size, route running ability, and soft hands that allow him to pull in contested catches. Defensively, Marusich is a physical defensive back who tackles well in the open field and can cover. He’ll be making plays on both sides of the ball in Friday’s matchup.

had a monster game against Warren last week. 5 catches for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns are some wild stats. Marusich can truly take over a game with his talent and he did. Prospect has to prepare for his big play ability when they take on the Broncos. Marusich committed earlier this month to Minnesota Duluth (D2)

It’s no surprise that the Class of 2024 Minnesota Duluth commit had a monster performance for Barrington in Friday’s win over Warren. What is surprising is that Marusich’s dominance primarily came on offense. While the All-Conference player and Defensive MVP had a solid outing at defensive back, what stood out most of Marusich’s offensive performance. At wide receiver, he totaled 146 yards on 5 receptions and 3 touchdowns. He showcased his speed, athleticism, and soft hands all night. The true 2 way player was incredible impressive. Expect Marusich to continue his success throughout his senior season.

has earned All-Conference, team Defensive MVP, and All-Area HM honors as a defensive back and has seen his recruitment take off very recently as NSIC competitors Minnesota-Duluth and Minot State offered DII scholarships at the end of June. Marusich measures in at 6’2, 175 lbs., and displays speed and athleticism on the perimeter as both a boundary or field CB. I like his top-end speed, which helps him carry WRs deep and stay on top of vertical routes, and Marusich does a great job of high-pointing and winning 50/50 balls, which he does gracefully I may add. His timing when playing the deep ball stands out, and he triggers on the football well on routes all over the field. He’s a great rep early in his junior highlights where he recognizes a hitch/corner route (smash concept), quickly drops the hitch, and then covers a ton of ground to pick off the corner route near his endzone for a beautiful INT. He’s also strong when positioning himself to play the ball, is sticky at staying hip-to-hip with WRs all over the field, and is a physical tackler who doesn’t mind laying the boom when given the chance and understands how to beat blocks and make tackles with proper pursuit leverage. Of all the things he does well and PRzIL likes, his athleticism and prowess at playing the ball in the air and snagging INTs high in the sky is most impressive, IMO. Marusich has a strong junior highlight tape and we are stoked to see how he’s improved on his game this offseason. More college programs need to get involved ASAP.
