Mr. Santiago works on both sides of the ball this season and finished the night with 5 carries for 40 yards along with 1 tackle. This young man has a burst through the hole and once he gets through isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder upon contact to stay ahead of the sticks. He also has vision to read his blocks in open space which he uses to break a long run on a jet sweep to keep the chains moving for his team. On defense, he didn’t show up in the stat line as much as he wanted to but that’s not to say that he wasn’t holding down the perimeter well in pass coverage. Here, he can stay on receiver’s hip pocket taking them away as an option and transitions well to turn to run on deep shots downfield. A good potential player that currently holds no offers.
