Maruis has had an incredible start to this season. He was featured last week and I had to feature him again. Him and his brother, Damian, have such a strong connection on and off the field. They are an impressive duo and have arguably been the best QB-WR combo in the entire state. During his week performance, Marius had 9 catches for a whopping 220 yards and 3 touchdowns. A college program will be getting VERY lucky landing Marius.

Marius had a great season last year for Yelm and is looking to grow on that during his senior year. More college coaches should be keeping an eye on him as his abilities on the field will easily translate to the next level. His brother, Damian, is throwing him passes and the two of them really do have a special connection. It’s been showing early in the season as during their week 2 game, Marius had 11 catches for 138 yards and 3 touchdowns on the night. Be on the watch for these 2 brothers as the season progresses.

Aalona is a physical, athletic SS with enough length and quickness to cover TE and slot WR inside, but good speed and hips turn and run with wideouts on the boundary. This skillset makes him a versatile WR on offense who’s poised for a massive senior year with twin brother Damian. We’ve projected Aalona on defense before but his physical skillset could also make him an excellent WR at the next level, as his crisp routes, good hands and blocking make him an ideal wideout in the modern zone-run schemes. His football IQ and fast twitch ability make him explosive enough to sell routes and blocks similarly.

The 6’1” 190 lb. athlete out of Yelm is expected to have a big junior year. Started at DB last year but also flashed a good skillset as a wideout. He projects on the defensive side at the next level where he shows good natural ability to cover all three levels of the field. Good speed, quick feet, and smooth hips to transition out of his back pedal and change directions. He anticipates routes well allowing him to break on the ball and quickly close space. Plus technique and footwork. Quick to read and react diagnosing plays as they develop. Loves his ability to effectively cover vertically and play the ball in the air without drawing a flag. Quality college prospect that should see his recruiting stock on the rise with a strong junior year.
