East Ridge | 2027 StateMN gives him a good run for his money, but Robinson has a higher recruiting ceiling, and he looks and plays like a potential P4 corner right now. The recruiting path was laid this summer after Robinson had a breakout showing during the testing portion of a Minnesota Gophers prospect camp. The Champlin Park 2028 ran a 40-yard dash so fast that North Dakota State CB coach Eric Amoako immediately pulled him aside to introduce himself. Robinson’s track times from the 2026 outdoor track and field season sweetened the pot even further, including his 11.10 100M and 23.22 200M personal records.
The midseason tape shows strong man-coverage technique. Loose hips, melts into and finds the WR’s hip pocket, and snaps that head around to locate the ball quickly. Robinson is comfortable under and playing the deep ball and demonstrates ball skills and 50/50 ability. His backpedal and transitions are fast and fluid. He’s a bendy corner with a solid press at the LOS, is patient, gets his hands on well without overextending, and owns the top-end speed to stay with any and every WR in Class 6A trying to threaten vertically. Robinson also blocked a punt in the endzone against Rogers, showed he can shed blocks and make 1v1 tackles around the box and in space, and has a great clip of him hawking down a loose Centennial RB to save a TD. Comfortably made the last tackle and dominated at the contact point. Minnesota and North Dakota have reached out since his name has hit the circuits.
