Unfortunately for Brown, he missed 5 games last season due to injury. Unfortunately for Brother Rice’s opponents this year, the Class of 2024 quarterback is fully healthy and ready to light it up in his final season with the Crusaders. Brown is committed to Butler, but before he heads off to Indianapolis, the 6’1 signal caller is ready to start the season off with a bang. Brown has a massive arm and quick release that fits the ball into tight windows. The ball jumps out of Brown’s right hand, moving at a speed that you won’t see from most high school quarterbacks. Additionally, he is a long strider who is just as dangerous in the run game as he is the pass game. He displays accuracy, touch, the ability to throw on the run, and poise in the pocket. Come Friday, Brown is sure to make up for lost time by making a statement against the Hawks.

Marcus brings the fireworks at the QB position. He does it with his arm and with his feet. Through the air, Marcus has a strong arm. The ball explodes out of his hands when he really steps into one to beat closing windows or pushing the ball deep downfield. He also creates fireworks with his accuracy and touch. Brown is able to place the ball right where it needs to be for his man to catch it in stride and create fireworks of their own. On the ground, when Marcus decides to take off he is able to explode through the line with strong acceleration. His top end speed allows him to pull away in the open field. No question, Marcus has enough speed to be able to carry that dual threat ability to the next level.

is a quarterback coming out of Brother Rice who should be getting more looks than he has but missed a large chunk of the 2022 football season due to injury. At 6’2 and 180 pounds, Marcus has a solid build for a prolific passer at any level of football. Marcus appears to handle pressure well as he always keeps his eyes up and downfield as he looks for one of his receivers. On the run, Marcus can evade pressure and has a smooth throwing motion while he is on the move and trying to extend plays. Marcus can also get the job done on the ground. As a runner, Marcus has sneaky speed to keep defense honest via quarterback reads and straight-up quarterback keeps. Even though his 2022 season was cut short, Marcus has proven to be a big play generator with his arm and with his legs. Look out for a major comeback season from Marcus as he looks to lead the Crusader offense in this upcoming football season.
