Makye is one of the more exciting freshmen I have seen in the Class of 2026. He is already up to 6′ 147 lbs with the length needed to succeed out wide. I first noticed Makye standing out during the position work. It is clear that Watkins is blessed with quick, smooth feet and hips that can flip, turn, and open naturally. Makye also stood out when we got to the one on ones. The freshman went toe to toe with the older athletes. His natural gifts allowed him to mirror receivers all over the field. His career should be a fun one to follow. He collected multiple INTs on varsity as a freshman, so he is off to a good start.
