Williams-Lee is probably on a short-list when it comes to the most explosive first steps in the country. On film, he instantly penetrates the backfield and leaves blockers reeling. He does all of this with a good base and the instincts to settle down and keep the action in front of him. He has the explosiveness and speed to threaten the backfield on any given snap and the motor to redirect if he doesn’t win initially. Williams-Lee is yet another smaller DL prospect whose elite explosiveness could allow him to compensate and contribute.

Williams-Lee, a rising senior, came into this camp as an underrated prospect that I was intrigued to see. After getting eyes on him in person, he is absolutely someone who should pick up D1 recruiting attention. He came in at 6’1 271 with impressive definition in his lower body. He is fluid and explosive in the hips, allowing him to quickly and aggressively get on the outside of blockers. He utilized his impressive first step and fiery hands to slap away at blockers, which made him difficult to contain.

Williams-Lee walked away as the biggest stock riser of the event. The rising senior had a productive 2023, but still remains under the radar as a recruit. His 6’2 270 frame makes him difficult to handle from a physical standpoint. He is built from the ground up, showing explosive get off and has impressive size and definition in his legs. However, you need to show finesse at camps, and he certainly did. He can threaten the edge thanks to his first step and does a good job of working through the hands of blockers, hand fighting and getting his arm over to free himself. Williams-Lee has D1 traits and deserves some recognition.
