About Magnus

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a style that's all about precision and aggression. I focus on making sharp cuts and reading defensive coverages so I can get open consistently. My hands are a huge part of my game; I take pride in making tough catches, which helps me be a reliable target in any situation. When it comes to blocking, Im all in. I don’t shy away from physical play and always give 100% effort.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

When I play football, I have a relentless mentality. I approach each game with fierce determination and a competitive spirit, always striving to give my best effort. I believe in the importance of teamwork, and I make it a point to support my teammates both on and off the field. My focus on precision and aggressiveness reflects my commitment to improving and making impactful plays.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

DECA ● Young Men's Service League (YMSL) - with over 70 community service hours

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Since I was five, sports have helped me develop strong leadership skills, especially through my roles in the Young Men's Service League, where I've learned to guide and motivate others. Teamwork has become second nature to me, as collaborating with teammates has shown me the importance of communication. My family's commitment to fostering kids has deepened my empathy and understanding of community

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a military child, facing my dad’s deployments overseas has been tough, but I’ve learned to adapt and stay resilient. I’ve developed strong communication skills by staying connected with him through letters and video calls, which has helped me feel close despite the distance. Engaging in supportive communities with other military families has made me realize that I’m not alone in this experience

Newman has proven to be one of the most dynamic receivers in 4A heading into the playoffs. With 29 receptions for 511 yards and 7 touchdowns, he’s a legitimate deep ball threat who can stretch the field and create mismatches with his size and speed. What makes him special is his ability to take the top off a defense and create explosive plays in open space. Adding over 250 return yards to his resume, Newman’s versatility as a playmaker is undeniable. He consistently demands attention from opposing secondaries and can change the momentum of a game with a single touch. His combination of height, athleticism and elite acceleration makes him one of the top receivers to keep an eye on in 4A.
