This is the 2nd year in a row Taylor has come and looked good. He’s built on the foundation he laid last year. He’s stronger, has a better understanding of the concepts presented to him, and plays with more control. His length is fantastic, and he’s always able to drive guys out. He’s a true tackle with the right instincts you want on the outside. He won’t reach, grab, or hold,d and does a good job with his hand placement on the snap.

Taylor was impressive for a handful of reasons. I like his length and size. He has a true tackle body and the length to have success. His arms are long, and he’s off the line fairly quickly. It’ll help him in every game phase as he builds out his frame. He seems to have solid fundamentals and learns quickly, so I feel comfortable that he’ll be on the field in no time, helping them up front.

Taylor has potential on both sides of the ball and is on his way to having a good high school career. He’s got a high-effort motor and he’s got enough upper-body strength now to have success, so as that develops he could begin to manhandle opposing linemen. He’s a bit raw across the board, but the upside is clear as day.

While Taylor is developing in the JV ranks his potential is obvious. Over the next few years, it will be about putting weight on and developing his mechanics. For a lineman as light as he is right now he has no issue holding his own upfront. He plays with an edge and once his frame gets caught up to his mentality he’s going to be a problem up front.
