Amazing freshman season tape from Lucas. Usually, players going from middle to high school experience significant growing pains, but Lucas took his opportunity in stride.

As an off-ball linebacker, Lucas did an excellent job defending all areas of the field. Against the inside run, Lucas did a great job reading, filling the gap, and hitting hard. Running backs had an extremely hard time earning any extra yards with Lucas in the gap. On top of that, Lucas is relentless outside the hashes. Great reaction to passes toward the boundary, and relentless pursuit to anyone attempting to win the edge.

Lucas may or may not earn Varsity time this year. Regardless, I expect him to be an incredible Varsity linebacker in 2026.
