Cruz is an athletic Offensive Lineman and he showcases good quickness and athelticism. He is light on his feet, does well in run blocking and will look to maul his defender and will get to the second level. In pass protection, he shows good leverage and has a strong base. He’s part of a line that will do all the dirty work, and they get stronger as the game gets into the latter stages.

Cruz has an excellent size for an interior lineman. He presents as a strong, physical mauler who excels at run blocking. He’s a pulling guard with good lateral quickness who seeks out contact and drives his defender backward. Cruz has a good base and showcases good footwork and quick hands. That allows him to be good in pass protection and doesn’t get beat by speedy rushers. Cruz should be viewed as a regional prospect in recruiting.

At the 2025 Power House 5v5 event, Cruz showed great size and quickness. He consistently had a great first step to get into position and gain leverage over the rusher. Cruz had the physicality and strength to keep his position and the lateral quickness to keep speedy rushers in front of him. He had an excellent showing at the event.

Cruz continues to produce along the LOS playing well along the interior. Shows explosion off the ball as a run blocker with strength, hand placement inside and leg drive. Initial movement to pull/trap block. Quickness to set base, make contact and sustain feet in pass protection. Any college program that run a spread option type offense will find Cruz a good fit their system.
