Will Helms | Prep Redzone Scout
I remember being impressed with Luang-Sy when he was about three years younger and six inches shorter. But I didn’t know at the time that he’d eventually grow into a player capable of being physical with defenders and strong at the catch point. He’s retained plenty of quickness, and he excels after the catch for a Southeast Alamance offense that loves to throw.

Luang-Sy has been on our radar for a while as a guy who could eventually break out. He got better and better as the season progressed, finishing with 393 yards and four touchdowns in his final four games of the year. He’s an intriguing slot option, at his best after the catch, but he also flashed some down-the-field potential and ball skills.

Luang-Sy is a young, smaller athlete with lots of talent. He played mostly receiver last season, but should contribute more at corner as a sophomore for Southeast Alamance. His technique is advanced and he’s not afraid to stick his head in and make plays in the running game. A solid cover corner, he should turn some heads this season when given more opportunities.
