Rillos is an explosive athlete for Ralston Valley. The 6’2 180-pound ATH had 64 carries for 513 yards with 8 touchdowns, 40 receptions for 704 yards with 6 touchdowns, 22 total tackles (14 solo, 8 assisted), 1 INT, 3 PD, 1 FR, and 1 blocked field goal. He has very good athletic ability due to elite acceleration, very good speed, jumping, change of direction, and balance. Lines up as a RB, WR, and SS. Very good vision to weave through defenders. Very good inside and outside running. Consistently gaining yards after contact, and shrugging tackles. As a WR, he demonstrates very good release. Very good separation quickness. He’s a fluid route runner. Very good ball tracking and catching skills. Goes up and plucks the ball with his suction hands. Rillos is also a physical presence on defense. He’s a hard hitter and runs across the field to make a tackle. Kid’s a stud in my eyes.

He had one of the top broad jumps at the event. Rillos has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, speed, and change of direction. He killed it during the drills against defensive backs. He used his very good release against off coverage, and press jam to get an edge on the defensive back. Very good separation quickness due to his athletic ability, and play strength. He fought through contact during the route. Used his very good ball tracking skills combined with very good catching to extend his arms and pluck the ball out of the air. Very good body control. When he jumps up for the contested catch, he doesn’t lose his balance and gains yards after the catch. An exciting prospect out of Ralston Valley! Keep an eye out for him in the future !

Rillos made a name for himself against the defending champs. The 6’3 sophomore had 7 catches for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns. He used his good speed and acceleration to consistently get open. He has good mental processing, diagnosing the coverage was man, and burned the slot corner for a big gain. Will come back to QB during the scramble drill. Rillos has good release, and separation quickness. He is a very fluid route runner. Good catching, he goes out and attacks the ball. After the catch, he’ll use his home run speed to blaze past defenders. He will also put his shoulder down, running through defenders with his powerful legs as the driving force. One play that really impressed me, was he kept moving in the endzone, but wasn’t expecting the ball. The QB made an off platform throw to Rillos, he adjusted and made the touchdown. I was very impressed with how Rillos played, especially in an important game against the defending champs.
