About Sawyer
Expert Analysis
Robert Davis | Prep Redzone Scout
Blomquist was a dominant force on the ground Thursday night, rushing for 181 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Blomquist consistently found running lanes and showed the ability to create explosive plays when he hit the second level. Averaging more than nine yards per carry, he gave his offense a reliable presence capable of changing the game from the backfield. His two touchdowns also showed his ability to finish drives once his team reached the redzone, being a player teams must focus on near the endzone. He has shown the ability to make the first defender miss but can also lower his shoulder to pick up extra yards as Blomquist has established himself as a name to keep on the radar. Continued production could make him an important offensive piece moving forward.
