Little League coaches often put their best athlete at shortstop. For O-Line coaches, there’s a tendency to position their top player at left tackle. It’s easy to see why Winterset does that with Kirkland when viewing his junior highlight video. He’s very quick off of the snap, getting into opponents’ chests and putting them on skates. Kirkland sets up well in pass protection, staying balanced and keeping his hands active.
