Winterset just got big play after big play from players up and down its roster on Friday, including senior receiver and linebacker hybrid, Wyatt Swanson Wyatt Swanson 6'0" | 195 lbs | WR/LB Winterset | 2026 State IA . Though Porter serves as the go-to back for the Huskies, Swanson led his team in rushing, thanks to an 87-yard scamper for a score in the second half to finish with nine carries for 137 yards.
Swanson showed off the jets on the carry, taking the ball to the outside and simply out-running the defense. Later in the game, when the Huskies needed to convert on 3rd and 12, he came up with a 14-yard gain to get a much-needed first down.

The first prospect out of the state of Iowa that I have logged in my notebook from the UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp was an impressive one based on the testing numbers alone, but the consistency in live reps also paid off dividends for Winterset 2026 wide receiver Wyatt Swanson Wyatt Swanson 6'0" | 195 lbs | WR/LB Winterset | 2026 State IA . The 6’1 190 pounder, was a certified flyer with his testing number and has excellent explosive traits too, logging a 4.63 40-yard dash, 4.31 pro agility, 9’4 in the broad, and close to 34 inches with his vertical jump. During the live reps, Wyatt showed off what looks like a fluid route-runner that moves off the top of his route with great instincts. His twitch when he cuts back on his route is an eye-catcher as you better have your footwork in check if you are a cornerback going up against him, as he persistently gets ample seperation rep after rep. I don’t scout the state of Iowa as much as I used to with PRz, but I know their small town hidden gems when I see one at camps. The Falcons staff must have seen what I saw too, as he logged his fifth offer from UWRF after camp. Twitter

As a junior in 2024, Swanson caught 13 passes for 256 yards and a touchdown. He delivered 23.0 tackles (8 solo, 5.0 TFL) with a pair of interceptions. On 14 kick returns, Swanson averaged 20.8 yards. His 11th-grade highlight video shows how he gets the job done no matter where he is on the field. Crisp route running is the biggest key to his success. Swanson puts defensive backs on their heels whether he’s working underneath or taking the top off. He’s solidly built and can outmuscle folks for 50-50 balls.
