In our updated rankings, Brede rose into our top 100 and 66 spots. Brede proved to be a monster to deal with over the season. His ability to move in open space and lead block is lethal. As a tackle, Mentor pulled him from the left side between the center and right guard on counter runs that opened massive gaps. He has very strong arms and knows how to manipulate defenders very well.

Landry had a good Sophomore season in 2023. His solid play helped the Mentor Cardinals win 7 games and average 31.8 points per game. He plays as a LT. While run blocking, he fires out low and generates good movement at the point of attack with his great play strength, leverage and foot drive. He displays very good physical toughness as he finishes the block to the ground for a pancake. On zone runs, he is quick to get to the second level and takes good angles before easily overpowering the LB. While in pass pro, he shows quick feet and good reactive athleticism as he mirrors the EDGE. He exhibits good use of hands winning battles with his hands inside while anchoring as he gives the QB more time to pass the ball. Quality mental toughness enables him to elevate his play in the redzone.
