Landry had a good Sophomore season in 2023. His solid play helped the Mentor Cardinals win 7 games and average 31.8 points per game. He plays as a LT. While run blocking, he fires out low and generates good movement at the point of attack with his great play strength, leverage and foot drive. He displays very good physical toughness as he finishes the block to the ground for a pancake. On zone runs, he is quick to get to the second level and takes good angles before easily overpowering the LB. While in pass pro, he shows quick feet and good reactive athleticism as he mirrors the EDGE. He exhibits good use of hands winning battles with his hands inside while anchoring as he gives the QB more time to pass the ball. Quality mental toughness enables him to elevate his play in the redzone.
Highlights
Jermaine played well as a Sophomore in 2023. His good play was a bright spot in the 1-9 season of the St. Francis De Sales Knights. He plays as a RG. While run blocking, he shows great use of hands as he strikes the chest of the DT and drives him several yards off the ball creating a lane for the RB while playing through the whistle and easily finishes the block with a pancake. In pass pro, he exhibits good play strength and physical toughness as he negates the progress of the DT at the LOS preventing a potential sack.
Darshawn had a great Sophomore season in 2023. His excellent play helped the Akron East Dragons win 8 games and score 35 points 3 times. He plays as a LG. While run blocking, he uses his good play strength and foot drive as he generates movement at the point of attack driving the DT off the ball with ease creating a lane for the RB to pick up big yardage. His excellent physical toughness allows him to finish the block to the ground for a pancake. His very good mental toughness enables him to elevate his play near the goal line.
Royce had a great Sophomore season in 2023. His very good play helped the Springfield Tigers to an 8-win season where they advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs and averaged 30.25 points per game. He plays as a C. While run blocking, he shows very good lateral quickness as he wins the outside shoulder of the NT and exhibits very good play strength and physical toughness at the point of attack as he drives him several yads off the ball and finishes the block to the ground with ease. In pass pro, he plays with a good base and exhibits great use of hands and exhibits good athleticism as he prevents the NT from penetrating the LOS.
Daniel played great as a Sophomore in 2023. His outstanding play was a bright spot in the 4-7 season of the Rock Hill Redmen. He lines up at T. While run blocking, he fires out quickly at a low pad level and generates good movement at the point of attack with his very good play strength. He plays through the whistle and overpowers the DE with ease. In pass pro, he plays with a good, wide base and keeps his feet constantly moving with solid flexibility. He wins with good use of hands and physical toughness as he keeps the QB clean.
