He consistently took on defenders and broke through their tackles. While he might not have elite speed, Howell can break away and run for chunk yards at a time. Howell is a tough, physical running back who also plays linebacker.

He does a great job of hitting the hole and running through contact against defenders. On Friday’s win over Central Dauphin, Howell had 2 rushing touchdowns. He was also one of the top rushers for Cedar Cliff, as he had a big game, helping get the win for Cedar Cliff. Howell should be in line to continue to play at a high level this season.

As a linebacker, he shows a good ability to read and react to the play and then come upfield to make the proper play against the offense. He was especially good as a pass defender, where he had two interceptions. He also played running back, where he showed a physical running style. He was even playing some H-back, where he showed a good ability to catch the ball in the flat. I expect Howell should be an even bigger contributor this year for Cedar Cliff.
