Landen was really good against some elite receivers. He was able to break up some big passes and overall was a force at the safety position.
- Very rangy, good ability to read and jump passes
- Could play man coverage if he needed to, has the change of direction to stick with good receivers
- Not afraid to come up in the run game if needed
- Good size, long arms and a good vertical allows him to contest everything thrown his way

I’ve seen Landen perform in person a handful of times, and this is the best performance I can remember. On more than a few occasions, Landen was a staunch run defender. Anything outside the tackles (and even on inside runs), Landen did his best to get in on the tackle. One of the first things I look for in a safety is run support, and Landen does a phenomenal job at playing hard on running downs, which is something that a LOT of DBs struggle with.
I admittedly need to watch Landen more in the pass game. Granted, Mona Shores did not pass the ball much (8 times in total), but Landen has proved that he can be a rangy pass defender.
Landen currently holds offers from a few Division 3 programs. I am in full agreement with that evaluation, and I wouldn’t be shocked if lower-tier GLIAC programs send out an offer as more 2025s commit.

I’ve written about Landen a few times over the past month. After researching him and watching his film a few times, he lands at #247 in the rankings, right in the middle of the “D3” grouping. Overall, I like his film. Landen is a willing run defender and is not afraid to put his body on the line.
His actual Safety fundamentals + athleticism don’t blow me away if I’m being honest, but he’s shown improvement in offseason clips. I expect Landen to remain as a solid D3 prospect, though could inch toward the GLIAC if he has a breakout season.

Finally, we have Landen Conrad Landen Conrad 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB Byron Center | 2025 State MI . Admittedly, I need to do more research on Landen, though his film is good and the offer from Hope makes me optimistic. His highlight tape reminds me somewhat of Haden. Like Haden, Landen is a rangy safety who isn’t afraid to stop the run. So much of playing Safety is IQ and closing speed, and it looks like Landen is just ahead of the curve in both areas. While he’s not an elite athlete, Landen can still force turnovers and break up passes because of his IQ. Next season, I would love his highlights to be about a minute longer while showcasing a little more variety. Regardless, Landen is a phenomenal high school football player who will find success next season.
