About Lance

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay is unique because of my speed and route running and my ability to see the whole field

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to win and have fun doing it. Also be good at whatever position I’m playing at the time. My personality is fun and energetic.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed one of the best route running games in my state. My teammates always asked me how do I do it. Which that gives me the opportunity to show my leadership skills by showing and helping my teammates, sharpen and develop their own route running skills.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced significant challenges coming from a middle school to one of the best high schools in the state coming in as a freshman starting a couple varsity games and realizing it wasn’t middle school anymore. But I have overcame that challenge

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for D1 college somewhere in Ohio may be West Virginia

We’re expecting him to see an increased role on offense as a sophomore, as an athlete with a lot of upside and potential.

Here’s what we recently said about Williams Jr in our 2028 Rankings Debut article:

“We’re still waiting on 2028 Herbert Hoover WR  Lance Williams Jr Lance Williams Jr Lance Williams Jr 5'10" | 150 lbs | WR/ATH Herbert Hoover | 2028 State WV  to produce more game film, but expect him to begin to emerge as a sophomore for the Huskies this season. He’s been a standout on the 7-on-7 circuit this summer, and we’re anxious to see how it translates to Friday nights beginning this fall. Williams Jr has displayed impressive route-running ability this summer during 7-on-7, with the speed and quickness to create consistent separation. As his body develops and matures further, he should be able to become a top receiver prospect in this class once he proves it on Friday nights.”
