5’11” 285 lbs. Tongi possesses a compact frame and is an aggressive block with good play strength. Consistently takes efficient angles in the run game to put himself in position to seal and create lanes. Attacks his blocks and finishes with violence, working through the whistle and looking to put defenders on the ground. Shows he can execute a variety of blocks getting out in front as a puller and working to the second level to be effective blocking in space. He’s a road grader in the run game that dominates the interior LOS to move defenders where he wants. Keeps a clean pocket from the inside by anchoring down and holding his ground against the bull rush. One to watch as he develops.

Tongi is the next up and coming elite interior defensive line prospect in the WCAL and is a heavy puncher with good technique and initial power for his size. He does a nice job eating up blocks, taking on double teams without giving up ground and plays with good pad level and initial knock-back to reset the line of scrimmage consistently. Still only a first year varsity player, he showed plenty of promise in his first season and should only continue to add to his toolbox as a pass rusher inside and have a stellar career within the vaunted WCAL and ends up on our WL rankings for the 2029 class.

came off the board at No.5 and the potential for him is through the roof. He’s an extremely versatile two-way lineman that can play a number of positions up front on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he looks like a natural as a Guard but I wouldn’t think twice about lining him up at Tackle either. Plays with excellent balance and really good feet, which allows him to work a double team and then climb the ladder up to the second level to pick up another block. On the other side of the ball, while he will likely end up as a Defensive Tackle, those feet I mentioned combined with his quickness make him an option to put out as an End. The impressive athleticism for his size has actually allowed Togi to play Linebacker in some situations too.
