Expert Analysis

Good height and length, showed strong coverage skills at the one-hour workout, is undoubtedly a strong cover corner who can press, jam and be physical with receivers at the LOS. Holds several MAC offers.

While they finished with a 5-6 record, Middletown had its best season in quite a few years. Cornwall was a big-time player for a strong Middies defense that had a really nice season. The junior cornerback finished the season with 4 interceptions and 3 passes defensed.
At 6’0 160 Cornwall has the length to challenge receivers at the line of scrimmage and when the ball is in the air. He has a smooth back pedal and fluid hips that make him sticky in man-to-man coverage. He shows good awareness and ability to break on the ball as evidenced by his 4 interceptions on the season. In November 2024 Laaren picked up his first offer from Eastern Michigan.

The junior cornerback has a nose for the ball as he finished tied for first in interceptions in the Greater Miami Conference with 4. Cornwall is comfortable in both press man and off in the bail technique. He has good feet and technique at the line of scrimmage. He has loose hips that are on a swivel. His ability mirror and run with receivers is impressive. He attacks the ball when it’s in the air and many times he beats the wide receiver to the ball. In run support, Laaren is active and flies around to the ball. In early November Cornwall get an offer from Eastern Michigan University. I’d be surprised if he didn’t continue to add offers this offseason.
