, a heralded Robbinsdale Armstrong rising sophomore, manufactured one of the best offseason’s of any 2029 and WR prospect in the state. Not only did he show off verified size and speed measurements near-ideal for the position and age range, Wanjara also proved himself a lethal route runner who was capable of creating separation and winning 1v1 route assignments against a variety of different defenders, both in age range and geographic variety. Big-time offseason showings at a variety of upperclassmen-heavy prospect camps this summer proved that he’s more than ready to step into a WR1 role and make the spotlight his own. Wanjara’s combination of raw speed and twitch, combined with his footwork, burst, ability to shut down his routes without wasted movement, and strength, both in how he fights through the press and more physical defenders as well as his hands at the catch point, all point towards transferrable skills in a full-team setting. Can’t wait to see how the Falcons‘ offense looks like this fall, led by their potential 2029 superstar Wanjara.

Don’t focus on Wanjara’s current positional ranking. PrepRedzoneMN is updating the class of 2029 rankings next week, and you can bet your bottom dollar that Armstrong’s

will be in the Top 10 overall for Minnesota’s freshman class. A very competitive and ever-looming presence on the 2026 Summer Camp Circuit, Wanjara, amongst other notable standout performances from this Summer Camp SZN, had a very strong showing at the first Minnesota Golden Gophers’ prospect camp of the summer, and he was also moved up to a more competitive group down in Gainesville at the University of Florida’s camp. To put it lightly, Wanjara was far too good for underclassmen group in River Falls, and was straight-up dusting kids with his lethal blend of speed, explosiveness, and technically-impressive, as well as shifty, route running ability. Wanjara is one of the best WRs in the state, regardless of class, going into 2026.

broke onto the recruiting scene officially last night in Dinkytown. The freshman sensation is set to make a major debut in the upcoming 2029 state ranking update coming in the next week or two, but first, he made some major waves at the state’s flagship university’s camp. Testing well, Wanjara is mature and seasoned, both physically (noticeable muscle definition), athletically, and as a route runner, far above the typical freshman, and he showed off loose hips that he could unlock and break down with ease, sudden, fluid footwork and COD, and little to no wasted movement. Wanjara was also taking front-of-the-line reps, and he ran good testing times in the “Big Dog” group of senior skills on offer watch. Remember the name, folks!

. Despite the limited amount of time between our winter and spring showcases, Wanjara has put in some serious work, and things culminated with a 4.68 laser 40, 4.45 shuttle , and 8’9 broad at 6’1, 180 lbs., and rocking a 76″ wing. Wanjara earned some varsity minutes with the 5A Falcons last fall, and you can see why, as he was extremely fluid, lightning-quick, and confident and shifty as a route runner. With the ability to change tempo, set up and make DBs guess, as well as squeeze space and get them to panic, Wanjara had CBs and SAFs chasing him all afternoon long. The freshman even broke a couple ankles in exhilarating fashion, and his huge catch radius, vertical bounce, and overall ball skills did not go unnoticed as well. Future is bright for this 2029, who will be very much in contention for WR1 and Top 10, maybe Top 5 status, once the 2029 rankings update rolls around. Remember the name!
