The 6’3″ 270 lbs OG is fun to watch on tape. Kyle’s short area agility is next level ready. He can quickly shift himself laterally, or turn his body to get the angle and put himself perfectly between the ball and defender. Once he gets that positioning there is no going through the strong anchored OG. Kyle is an absolute bully in the trenches too. He plays with the mean streak and tenacity you want along the interior. Someone who will help establish the run, punish DL every single snap, and reset the line of scrimmage downfield.

If you were to have me pick out the one player who LOOKS like a D1 offensive linemen on film it would be Kyle. He has exceptional movement, plays with a great nasty streak and knows when to find work in pass protection. He does a fantastic job of moving his defender where he needs to be moved and does a great job in space when pulling on gap schemes. He knows how to finish and has all of the tools you would expect from a guy who can make an immediate impact on the offensive line anywhere he goes. He has made visits to some MAC schools as well as many of the major FCS schools. His Twitter handle is @KyleBaltazar75

PRzIL is wrapping things up with another CCL and Loyola Academy junior as 6’3, 270 lb. Kyle Baltazar has also seen his recruitment take off since the Ramblers 8A state championship season ended. Also a state champion lacrosse player, Baltazar has earned offers from Indiana State, UPenn, Fordham, and Lindenwood since early February and is far from done on the recruiting trail. The OG is a mobile and efficient when pulling and folding, shows off good leg drive and hand placement, and has some solid reps of him winning pass sets and using DL’s momentum and poor body positioning against them. Baltazar is a violent, in-your-face type of offensive lineman and laid some big blocks in 2022. I’m a big fan of the comfortability he’s showing in pass protection. The size, quality of competition, and state championship experience are all working in his favor as well. If you need D1 lineman than Wilmette is a must-stop!

I’m going to sound like a broken record here but Mr. Baltazar is another new name to me this fall season that is going to see himself crack into our 24′ rankings. This young man’s pass protection is stellar. Not only can he mirror the rushing defender to keep the pocket clean but he also flashes his ability to keep his head on a swivel picking up a delayed blitz. Switching gears to run blocking, he does a darn good job of square pulling being a lead blocker for his teammate. Here, he can pick up 2nd level blocks and create a lane for his teammate to hit. At times, he was able to jolt the defender upright before putting them into the dirt as well. Overall, this is another standout O-Lineman that the Ramblers continue to produce year in and year out.
