Smith was a player that took a significant step forward from last season when I scouted him in the 2026 season opener at Regina. The junior was operating as Wilton’s left tackle on offense and moving around making plays on the defensive front. Smith stands out for his physical nature of play. He uses the footwork, hand fighting and balance that help him on the wrestling mat to complement his strength on the gridiron. Smith plays with good pad level. At left offensive tackle, the junior sets up smoothly and keeps defenders in front of him in pass protection. The leg drive impresses in the running game. Smith gets off of the ball quickly on the D-Line. Again, his hands and balance help in winning matchups. He’s one to watch moving forward.
